Levels of Being
V. The Healer
IV. The Light Bringer
II. The Seeker
Level I: The Deceived
You are in Plato’s Cave and you believe that the shadows are monsters and you should not dare venture out. This is the point where most people spend their entire existence. You have been conditioned by various forces, both intentionally and unintentionally, to believe that you are nothing and your world is a space rock that flies pointlessly through nothingness forever. Everything around you is designed to make you feel small, powerless and insignificant. There are things that have been in place for eons before you were born to fool you into believing that you are weaker and less important than you actually are.
Some of the other people who have been deceived will be your greatest enemy at this level. Because they believe they are nothing and unimportant, they will hate anyone who does not believe the same lies they have internalized, and they will attempt to pull you down to keep you at their level.
One crab can escape a boiling pot of water. Two crabs will keep pulling each other back down until they both die.
When they see that you know that you are more than a brief, pointless existence in a Godless universe, they will hate that you are not beholden to the same grim fate that they have accepted. They will hate that you are not as miserable as they are, and your life is not as pointless as theirs is.
The most important thing to do in this stage is ignore the opinion of everyone else and find your truth for yourself. No one will give it to you. Don’t ask other people about God and the nature of things. Find it for yourself. It is particularly important to ignore people who claim to know about God at this stage. They are men and women, and they know nothing. God does not need someone else to speak for Him.
I don’t know your truth and I cannot tell it to you. But I can tell you that you need to ignore everyone, including me, and search for your truth for yourself.
Speak to God directly, He is where you will find all truth in this world or any other. Do it often, make this relationship a constant part of your daily life. Don’t let other people get in the way. Then you will find your truth.
If you don’t believe in God, or have a preconceived notion that you do not want to, then ignore everyone else and find your truth by looking into yourself. That is where your journey will begin. Depending on how much work and sacrifice you put into finding truth, you will either learn that you are part of everything and that we are all connected with each other and with God, or you will remain deceived and your mind and soul will “die” inside the cage you helped build for yourself. Laying powerless, inert and silent for eternity.
Because, whether you know it or not, that is what you have decided you are.
My journey began with me thinking I was not connected to others and that I was nothing. Now I know that I am both nothing and everything and I am connected to all things. And that I am connected to God. You are too, you just might not know it yet.
In order to disprove God someone would have to be able to tell you something they could not know. The point here is to ask the questions. Of everyone.
The people who tell you ignorant things like, “Life is pointless, you will die and no one will remember your name” are the people who no one will remember. Plato never said that, and you knew who he was without looking him up when you began reading this.
It will bother people who are deceiving themselves how little you care about their opinion.
It will not bother people who want you to succeed.
